Robinson Returns as Plunket Shield Resumes

Tim Robinson is set to make his first Firebirds appearance since an injury cut his breakout Super Smash campaign short earlier this year.

The Firebirds, currently second on the Plunket Shield table, head into the second half of the red-ball season with title aspirations but will have a road-heavy schedule to contend with as the competition enters its final four rounds.

James Hartshorn also makes his return to the squad for the first time since Round 4 of the Plunket Shield in November. The paceman has appeared in all of the four-day fixtures for Wellington this season.

Round 5 of the Plunket Shield will be played in Rangiora, Canterbury from 29 Feb – 3 March 2024. The game is scheduled to begin at 10:30am each day, with livestreaming and scoring available at scoring.nzc.nz
