Snedden Returns, Blaze Unchanged Ahead of Otago Clash

After a rainy Christmas Eve kept both teams from taking the field, there is only one change between both squads as the teams head south to Alexandra.

Michael Snedden draws back into the Firebirds squad in place of Ben Sears, who has returned to BLACKCAPS camp ahead of their T20I series against Bangladesh, which starts today in Napier.

Rachin Ravindra and Adam Milne are also in that BLACKCAPS squad, keeping them unavailable to the Firebirds for now.

Tom Blundell, on the other hand, is not in the T20I squad and may play a part for the Firebirds down the track after he enjoys some well-earned time off.

The Spotlight Reporting Wellington Blaze are unchanged for a third-straight round, keeping their side together as they look for their second win over Otago in the space of a week.

Captain Amelia Kerr will have her work cut out for her when she comes up against long-time WHITE FERNS teammate Suzie Bates as her opposite number in Alexandra.

Sophie Devine is the only unavailable Blaze player for this fixture, as she is on a wellness break following a heavy schedule of cricket.

Round 3 of the Dream11 Super Smash for the Firebirds and Blaze will take place as they face Otago at Molyneux Park in Alexandra on Thursday 28th December 2023. The game will stream live on TVNZ+ and TVNZ Duke.
